What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness that you achieve, guided by your Hypnotherapist. You will have experienced many light trance states in you daily life already – for example, when you daydream or become totally focused on a movie or in a book that you are reading. During your session you will enter a light trance state initially, which will then deepen just as far as you find comfortable. Most people find this a very natural, relaxing and pleasurable experience.
Is Hypnotherapy Right For Me?
It may surprise you to learn that we experience trance states often during the course of our daily lives. Even passing into ordinary sleep involves a kind of trance state. The experience of hypnosis is similar: neither asleep nor awake and a little like daydreaming, with a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation behind it all.
Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness which you can naturally enter so that, for therapeutic purposes, beneficial suggestions may be given directly to your unconscious mind.
In this way, hypnosis is an effective way of making contact with our inner self, which is both a reservoir of unrecognised potential and knowledge as well as being the unwitting source of many of our problems.
Realistically no-one can be hypnotised against their will and even when hypnotised, a person can still reject any suggestion. Thus hypnotherapy is a state of purposeful co-operation.
So Hypnotherapy is an effective method of resolving problems that may trouble you. Painless and safe, it is the preferred method for many enlightened people today.
Is Hypnotherapy Expensive?
No, it is a very cost effective solution. Hypnotherapy is considered to be a “Brief Therapy” which means that only a few sessions are needed to be effective. Of course everyone is unique but as a guide most Clients attend for between four and twelve sessions
We generally recommend an initial 90 minute session at a cost of £95 so that your particular issues can be discussed and any questions you may have can be answered so that suggestions given in hypnotic trance are tailored to your specific needs. Subsequent sessions last for an hour and the cost of a standard session is £65.
Smoking cessation treatment is a double session (approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours) and costs £150. For most people this is all that is needed but a one hour reinforcement session can be booked at a cost £65.
Can Everybody be Hypnotised?
Yes, nearly everybody can be hypnotised but only if they want to be. People can’t be hypnotised against their will and even when hypnotised they can still reject any of the suggestions given if they are not appropriate.
